If you don’t have the luxury of an in-house IT helpdesk, here are a few tips to make sure you holiday is IT hassle free:
- Set up an Autoresponder for all your email accounts. It’s a matter of professionalism and courtesy to inform your clients and prospects that you can’t yet respond to their emails immediately
- Check the quota for your main email account and make sure it’s at least 20MB. You want to avoid an automatic response going back to your correspondence saying “inbox out of quota”…
- ave your data – this could include establishing an online-backup. This is vital, because you never know what might happen during your absence
- Prepare the access to your emails through webmail. You need to have your login and password handy. Your email-host can help
- Change the message on your mobile phone. Again it’s a matter of courtesy to let the caller know you are away for some days.
