Is over-confidence all bad in a manager? Does it improve a CEO’s focus and investment on innovation? Findings here.

Over-confidence sounds pretty bad to me. Perhaps because I know your confidence doesn’t see the results you expected, you feel so foolish. Or perhaps because I’ve seen managers turn solid progress into feeling like  a failure by setting ambitious but ultimately unachieved goals.

But this blog has some interesting findings on how over-confidence can actually improve a CEO’s commitment to innovation, and their innovative results. Does that mean it’s not over confidence then?
