Lifting the lid on sexism in football

‘While football has spent millions of pounds on campaigns to stamp out racism and homophobia from the game, sexism continues to be tolerated – whether that means thousands of fans chanting “slut” at a TV reporter during a live televised game, fem…

Heart disease is the biggest single killer of women. Only by forgetting what we know about men, can we treat women successfully

I came across this fantastic TED talk by Dr Noel Bairey Merz on the single biggest health threat women face: heart disease.  Did you know that one out of two women will be impacted by cardio vascular disease in their lifetime and that since 1984 u…

Elsie Women’s Refuge for women and children – can you help?

Elsie Women’s Refuge provides a safe haven for women (and their children) who are escaping domestic violence. It then seeks to secure more permanent accommodation for them. Women get a raw deal in sport – is this flowing on to our leadership pipeline?

According to a new article on MamaMia, women are just not getting a fair go when it comes to media coverage of women’s sports.  Did you know that: Women make up just 9 per cent of all sports coverage in Australian TV news and current affairs – horseracing sits at 10 per cent When the […]

This is so up my alley. "In order to liberate women, we need to liberate men." (Anne Hathaway - UN Women Goodwill Ambassador). Check this out, I'm in awe. My friend Ronni Kahn is at it again, disrupting the food supply chain, offering food security to the vulnerable. I've shared before about OzHarvest. When I first met Ronni ten years ago I knew she was special, but what she has achieved and continues to achieve truly blows my mind. She cares so much about the people that OzHarvest serves, and every person in her life, and gives her everything to make sure that no person needs to go hungry. The international expansion of OzHarvest is awesome, and this "take what you need" supermarket in Sydney is just brilliance. Repurposing and rehoming surplus food, keeping it out of landfill so that we all benefit and business overheads are lowered. Win. Win. Win. Love it! ... See MoreSee Less
