While flexible work plans are a popular way to support gender diversity, only 30 percent of companies have them – McKinsey findings

Despite gender diversity being a top three agenda item for many companies and industries, McKinsey research has  discovered that only 30% of companies have them, and 25% of survey respondents said that their companies performance evaluations  are structured to neutralize the potential negative career impact of flexible work.

Interestingly, the same study found that one of the most popular investments is in programs to encourage mentoring, role models and networking for women. Which fits with my conviction that our Ascend development days are the ideal investment in your career. Many of our attendees are sponsored by their employers to attend, which fits with these findings also.
