World Have Your Say programme at the BBC World Service radio in London is hosting a broadcast forum on this very topic this Thursday, the 16th September.  Broadcasting from a BBC Trust event in London, the discussion will involve a group in London, as well as experts dialing in from New York, Iceland, the Middle East and Australia (that’s me!)  I’ve been asked to respond to the issue of whether women are their own worst enemies: ‘Is it women who block equality of women? Do women really think they are equal to men?’

I have my thoughts on these questions – which I’ll share here after the program has aired (it’s on Thursday 16th September at 1700GMT – so any of you working the night shift are welcome to tune in – click here to access a live stream of BBC World Service)

As some of you know, I’m a huge radio fan so this is one event I’m really looking forward to (yes, I know it’s old fashioned but I grew up with a wireless on in the background and I still love it today!)
