Want lounge access but can’t justify the annual fee? Or maybe you use different airlines all the time.

Many of us find it hard to justify the expensive fee for annual lounge access, especially when many of us do not use the same airline all the time. New services are springing up to offer pay-per-use access for all. All a traveller needs to do is book and pay for the pass online, and supply flight details. Costs range from about $30 upwards for a max 3-hour stay. Extra time usually costs about $10 an hour.

These reasonable rates will not allow access to all five-star lounges but they are a step above the gate lounges and offer food and drink, business services, showers and entertainment areas.
