Do you take work home with you? And is that a good thing or not?

There’s an ongoing debate about whether smartphones and other technologies are actually helping us manage work and life more effectively, or are forcing work to encroach on home time.  This new study from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics found that nearly 1 in 10 employees brings work home with them on a typical workday – which I must […]

I don’t know how she does it… No seriously, I don’t!

After my son was born my M.I.L. (who’s career like mine was in the finance industry) gave me a copy of this book with “must read!” instructions.  After one-and-a-half chapters I was depressed! Now I guess you know it’s actually a best selling comedy, but it hit a few too many raw nerves for me […]

"The only moment we ever really have is this one - celebrate it. Happiness isn't in the future or the past but in the awareness of the present." - Anna McPhee

Anna's words are how she lived her life. She has been an amazing inspiration, a wonderful support, a gracious mentor to me throughout my career. So many of us counted her as a girlfriend to look up to, and her legacy will live on in the many women she has inspired to live their very best life.

I will miss her.

Sending condolences to Reggie, Anna's beautiful mum Trish and adoring sisters, and all of her extended family.
