Jenny Saliba has volunteered to travel to Nepal, the poorest country in South Asia, on 5th March 2011 with a team of 100 Australian women to help improve the lives of families suffering from poverty. As part of the Habitat for Humanity Global Village program the delegation will live and work alongside 250 disadvantaged local Nepalese women to help build communities and homes in order to provide families with the basic necessities in life.

As a volunteer, each participant finances all costs associated with travel and accommodation and also raises a minimum of $5,000 which will go towards the materials, resources and all other costs associated with building the homes.
 
To help raise the build costs, Jenny is holding a Trivia Night Fundraiser Event on Thursday 10 February 2011. Tickets are $30pp or $250 for a table of 10, and includes finger food. In light of the devastation the floods are causing here in Australia, Jenny has decided to donate 50% of all funds raised on the night to the Queensland Flood Appeal… so either way you’ll have fun AND help women here and abroad in the process.
