Are you being heard? Study shows redundant communication pays off in delivering outcomes

Wondering how you can achieve more at work?  I was intrigued by this study of six companies which shows that21% of managers without formal power send redundant messages — for example, an email message after a face-to-face meeting — compared with just 12% of managers who have formal power. But the powerless managers get tasks done faster and with fewer […]

Life Balance: Where are men and women actually spending their time? See this graph to find out how we spend our hours.

And no surprise, women spend almost triple the time parenting, and a little less taking care of ourselves. This graph represents the average hours per week. Does this fit with your week? I know I work a great deal more then 27.3 hours, but the comparison seems about right to how many of my male […]

Check this out, I'm in awe. My friend Ronni Kahn is at it again, disrupting the food supply chain, offering food security to the vulnerable. I've shared before about OzHarvest. When I first met Ronni ten years ago I knew she was special, but what she has achieved and continues to achieve truly blows my mind. She cares so much about the people that OzHarvest serves, and every person in her life, and gives her everything to make sure that no person needs to go hungry. The international expansion of OzHarvest is awesome, and this "take what you need" supermarket in Sydney is just brilliance. Repurposing and rehoming surplus food, keeping it out of landfill so that we all benefit and business overheads are lowered. Win. Win. Win. Love it! ... See MoreSee Less
